apticon® is Elval Colour’s new product, specifically designed for interior building applications, such as wall cladding in bathrooms and kitchens, doors, suspended ceilings, exhibition stands, scenography, and partition systems.

apticon® combines the advantages of aluminium composite panels with the innovation of a special liquid multilayer coating, creating textured surfaces tailored to the aesthetic and design requirements of each project. Key characteristics that highlight the material’s versatility include its excellent flatness, structural performance, and ease of installation, while also allowing for the creation of complex geometries – including curved surfaces. With a material thickness ranging from 2 to 6 mm, a maximum width of 2000 mm, and a maximum length of 5300 mm, apticon® can be optimised dimensionally to meet specific application needs. For projects with enhanced fire safety requirements, apticon® is also available with a fire-retardant or non-combustible core.

Remaining true to its commitment to developing innovative aluminium products for architectural applications, Elval Colour brings colour and texture to interior surfaces, addressing both the aesthetic and functional demands of architecture and interior design. apticon® is resistant to moisture and corrosion and can be easily cleaned using common household cleaning products. The material is easy to process and can be applied to vertical partitions, doors, and bespoke constructions, providing a safe and reliable solution for interior applications that require durability and long-term performance – even in demanding environmental conditions. In addition, apticon® is an extremely lightweight material, making it particularly advantageous for suspended ceiling systems.
apticon® is ideally suited for spaces with high aesthetic value, offering textured surfaces and designs inspired by a wide range of materials, including marble, wood, mortars, patinas, ceramics, mosaics, tiles, and even wallpapers. The company offers 300 indicative design codes, accurately simulating natural materials in both texture and colour. Furthermore, designers and architects can create custom designs, available in three levels of relief (low, medium, high), tailored specifically to their projects. Especially in renovation projects, apticon® provides a fast and highly efficient solution, saving time, reducing additional construction work, and lowering costs associated with demolition – without compromising aesthetic quality. The system adapts easily and can be installed precisely over existing tiles, masonry, or metal frameworks. It is ideal for restaurants, hotels, and office spaces, where renovations are often required at regular intervals. When incorporated from the initial design stage, apticon® also facilitates the easy future replacement of interior cladding.

Elval Colour applies controlled production processes with a strong focus on energy efficiency, CO₂ emissions, resource management, and environmental responsibility. By following Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, which evaluates environmental impact throughout a product’s entire lifecycle, Elval Colour publishes verified results through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). By choosing apticon® for your projects, you select an environmentally responsible material that is 100% recyclable and contains a high percentage of recycled aluminium.
