Inspired by audacity and team spirit, the theme of this year’s EquipHotel Paris, “Time to Dare”, rallies professionals of the Hospitality industry to dare to take new approaches to the hospitality sector, dare to innovate and dare to be more creative.
The event brings together more than 1,200 exhibitors in four main areas: Design, Food service, Well-being & Tech & Services. This unique offer is the most comprehensive of all international Hospitality trade shows.
The Design area showcases several standout projects with innovative concepts in hospitality design, blending creativity, functionality, and aesthetics. Here’s a deeper look into these exciting design projects:
1. La Collab
OKKO HOTELS Group and L’Ameublement Français cooperate to foster team spirit and get hotel owners, operators, architects, designers, fitters, furniture manufacturers, etc. to work together from the very start of a project, with the same approach to co-design and eco-design. This project focuses on collaborative design, bringing together top designers and brands to create cutting-edge hospitality solutions. It emphasizes the importance of partnerships in generating fresh ideas and approaches that push the boundaries of traditional hotel design, setting new standards for luxury, comfort, and guest experiences.
2. SUITE LOBBY: The Hospitality of Marie Deroudilhe
Marie Deroudilhe will reimagine the traditional hotel lobby, transforming it into a versatile, welcoming, and stylish space. Her concept will demonstrate how lobbies can serve as multifunctional hubs for relaxation, socialization, and business, while maintaining a strong visual identity that sets the tone for the entire hotel experience.
3. VIP & PRESS CLUB: Round and Round with Joran Briand & Arnaud Berthereau
This exclusive VIP and Press Club project will offer a unique blend of circular design and cozy intimacy, creating a space that caters to high-profile guests and media professionals. With a focus on fluid, seamless shapes and organic materials, the designers will craft an atmosphere of sophistication and tranquility, perfect for networking or relaxation.

5. SIGNATURE BAR: Textile Forest from Cécile Chenais and Laurent Maugoust
The Signature Bar, designed by Cécile Chenais and Laurent Maugoust, will immerse visitors in a surreal, nature-inspired environment. 6. INSPIRATION GALLERY: “Confidences pour confidences” Exhibition
This exhibition will present a curated selection of design pieces that explore the intimate relationship between hospitality spaces and their guests. The “Confidences pour confidences” theme delves into the emotional and psychological connections that people form with the spaces they inhabit, highlighting how design can evoke comfort, security, and personal reflection.

Visitors will experience firsthand how chefs are creating dishes that are both innovative and conscious of modern dietary and environmental trends.
In the Wellness area of EquipHotel 2024, two innovative projects – NEW EXPERIENTIAL SPACE: In Search of Silence… and AI FOR SPAS: A Massage Robot You Can Test On-Site – will explore the future of relaxation and well-being in the hospitality sector.
1. NEW EXPERIENTIAL SPACE: In Search of Silence…
This project focuses on creating a sensory escape from the noise and fast pace of modern life, highlighting the importance of silence and tranquility in wellness experiences. The space will be designed as an immersive environment that promotes mindfulness and deep relaxation. Attendees will experience how silence can be integrated into wellness spaces such as spas, meditation rooms, and retreat centers, creating a restorative ambiance that encourages mental clarity and stress reduction. The design will use soundproofing techniques, soft lighting, and calming textures to immerse visitors in a state of serenity. It will inspire hotels and spas to rethink how they incorporate peaceful, quiet spaces to enhance the overall wellness experience for their guests.
2. AI FOR SPAS: A Massage Robot You Can Test On-Site
This futuristic project will introduce AI-powered massage technology, allowing visitors to experience the first ever hands-free massage robot. The robot is designed to deliver personalized, therapeutic massages based on individual preferences, offering a blend of technology and wellness that could revolutionize the spa industry. Attendees will be able to test the robot on-site, seeing how it adapts to different pressure levels, massage styles, and specific body areas. This project explores how AI and robotics can bring consistency, efficiency, and even customization to wellness treatments, providing an innovative solution for spas that want to enhance their services while catering to a tech-savvy clientele.
The Tech & Services Area at EquipHotel 2024 offers 4 different projects which showcase the latest technological innovations and forward-thinking solutions that are reshaping the hospitality industry. These projects focus on offering hoteliers, restaurateurs, and hospitality professionals’ practical insights into how new technologies and services can enhance their operations and guest experiences.
1. ONE MORNING, LOTS OF SOLUTIONS…
This project will present concentrated sessions on Digital Markets Act, under which major online platforms must comply with new EU obligations and restrictions, or will face heavy fines, and Cybersecurity where multiple tech solutions are introduced to address key security challenges in the hospitality industry. From AI-driven guest management systems to energy-efficient technologies, this session will offer a practical guide to understanding which innovations are most relevant and how they can be applied to increase efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and reduce operational costs.
2. THINK TANKS AND DISRUPTORS
“Think Tanks and Disruptors” will be a space dedicated to thought leadership and industry disruption. It will bring together innovative entrepreneurs, tech developers, and hospitality leaders to discuss and explore groundbreaking ideas in maintaining profitability, ensuring high-quality service and meeting guest expectations. The project is focused on fostering creative problem-solving and pushing the boundaries of conventional hospitality models. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be a central theme in the La Fabrique du Tourisme initiative, with a focus on how AI is transforming the hospitality industry. This project will delve into AI’s role in everything from automating guest services to personalizing travel experiences. Attendees will get insights into how AI is being used to streamline operations, improve decision-making through predictive analytics, and enhance customer engagement by delivering personalized recommendations based on guest preferences. The project will also explore how AI can help hotels and restaurants optimize inventory management, energy consumption, and even sustainability efforts.
