Milano Home returns to Milan, bringing craftsmanship, design research, and the stories that shape the objects of everyday life into the spotlight.
The objects we choose for our homes are defined by more than their function. Materials, making techniques, places of origin, and different design cultures come together in objects that find their own place in everyday life – and, with it, acquire a story of their own.
It is this relationship between object, maker, and way of life that Milano Home seeks to explore as it returns to Fiera Milano from 21 to 24 January 2027. The event looks beyond the finished product to the expertise and stories of the companies behind it, placing four core values at the heart of its approach: authenticity, originality, quality, and innovation.
Through this perspective, Milano Home sets out to reflect a design landscape in constant evolution, where Italian craftsmanship, Mediterranean manufacturing, and European design culture meet diverse international traditions and new forms of expression.

Four worlds, different perspectives on the contemporary home
Rather than being organized exclusively around conventional product categories, Milano Home unfolds across four thematic worlds – Mood, WOW, Vibes, and Taste – each approaching the home and contemporary living from a different perspective.
Mood revolves around decoration and handcrafted objects, while WOW brings contemporary design, excellence in craftsmanship, and objects with a distinctive character to the fore. In Vibes, fragrances, textiles, decoration, and floral elements expand the experience of space beyond the visual, while Taste focuses on the table and kitchen as places of gathering and conviviality.
Interwoven with these worlds are special projects that broaden the scope of the fair even further: from Agorà 4.0, where craftsmanship meets research and experimentation, to GourMeet, which connects gastronomy with the culture of hospitality, and BauHouse, featuring a curated selection of products dedicated to the pet world.
Together, these different paths offer a broader reading of the contemporary home: not as a collection of isolated products, but as a space where materiality, the senses, craftsmanship, and everyday habits intersect.

The value of selection in a world filled with objects
At a time when access to products and images is almost limitless, value increasingly lies in selection: which objects stand out, which stories are worth telling, and how a product finds its place within a broader context.
Within this process, Milano Home gives a central role to specialized retail, positioning it as a link between brands and the final customer, but also as a space for discovery, human interaction, and the exchange of ideas.
Figures from the previous edition reflect this direction: more than 65% of individual visitors belonged to the Store category, while Milano Home brought together 750 brands, 20% of them from outside Italy. Overall, the event recorded 31,019 visitors, with international attendance from more than 50 countries.
These figures are significant not simply as an indication of scale, but because they reflect the position Milano Home seeks to occupy: between those who design and produce an object and those who select it, present it, and ultimately bring it closer to the person who will live with it.

Where stories become encounters
Despite the growing role of the digital world in the way new products are discovered, design continues to rely on physical experience: the opportunity to encounter an object firsthand, understand its material qualities, and meet the company or people behind it.
Milano Home reinforces this human dimension through the Buyers Circle, an international network that selects and invites qualified buyers with the involvement of the event’s Brand Ambassadors. The 2026 edition welcomed 711 hosted buyers, while Meet&Coffee facilitated more than 2,600 scheduled meetings between buyers and exhibitors over three days.
Milano Home’s message for 2027, “Put your story in the spotlight”, encapsulates this approach. In a world filled with objects, differentiation lies not only in their form, but also in their origins, the knowledge behind them, the ideas they embody, and the people who shaped them.
From 21 to 24 January 2027, Milano Home brings these different stories together at Fiera Milano, exploring the connections between design, craftsmanship, production, and the ways in which objects ultimately find their place in contemporary life.
